Why We Need to Take Care of Ourselves

Today is Thursday, March 16, 2023 and at times, things can be a little bit overwhelming for all of us adults. I am 26 years old and I am somewhat going through a mid-life crisis. Trying to take care of myself, trying to get things done, trying to help people, trying to meet up with friends/family/commuting buddies/co-workers can be a big challenge for myself, similar to being in a mental obstacle course.

But, on the bright side it presents me a challenge each day. Right now, I am still making friends but have a long term goal of having the perfect life such as getting the perfect girl, and having a perfect family. My parents, from what I have experienced had social problems from when I was young and didn't like really talk to a lot of people.

Nowadays around the world from America to China there is too much fear going on in the world from economic problems, to problems running in our loved ones, to government issues within our countries.

Yes there is inflation going on requiring us to manage our wallets a little bit better, especially in the United States and the United Kingdom.

Yes, in certain places rent can be so high only the rich can afford such as renting in Boston is so expensive that some of my friends are still staying with their parents back home.

Yes we have to work every day and deal with kids and people who cannot behave like they are supposed to.

Yes, there are children using guns to intentionally or unintentionally kill other kids such as a 6 year old, being violent in a elementary school by choking their teacher and brought a gun to school.

Yes, old Chinese people took revenge on innocent people in California just over small problems, such as an old Asian man killing people in a Ballroom over his imperfect dancing skills.

Yes, sometimes we refuse to take care of the current problems we are going through just because we want to run away from it, which only gets worse.

Yes we are still going through covid, even though most of it is over mainly during the winter time or whenever we get cold weather, as most of us now are so paranoid of getting sick.

Yes, some people take advantage of others in order to get what they wanted such as George Santos making his way into working for the government as a state reperesnative for the good state of New York.

Yes, the lockdown has made our mental health worse, even drove us crazy and mentally feeling worse. I might have gotten used to it, playing video games on my phone but other people like my father lashed at us for the lockdown changes as a safety precaution in order for us to not get easily infected by the virus.

Yes, the news article we read and hear puts us in a lot of stress from inflation to a rise in gun violence and murder including notable incidents in the Walshe murders and the Duxbury murders of three precious children.

Yes, dealing with people can be tough but we need to make sure we stay cool and not lose in front of hundreds or even thousands.

Yes, social situations with people, like me dealing with a lot can at times get stressful especially when it comes to planning out something fun for the weekends or trying to find the right person to date.

But, at the same time we need to understand what we are grateful for with one of them being our mental health.

Everyday, we need to wake up and be grateful for the people we talk to and have, when we want to talk about .

Everyday, we need to be grateful we live in an enclosed place and getting our meal and hydration each day.

Everyday, we need to be grateful that we have a job and getting the money for ourselves and our families and being able to manage it.

Everyday, we need to be grateful that we are able to stay positive and embrace.

Everyday, we just need to in general, stay positive and have a warm heart for all others.
