The Red Bull Sky Diving experience

The view of the Red Bull Diving Competition. Source: My Phone.

Hello guys, I figured I started writing something very interesting in the Seaport district of Boston. No it is now Cisco Brewery, although I have been there before numerous times just for leisure purpose or just trying to meet up with people and get some nice, fine drinks of what Cisco brewery has to offer (there is another brewery just east of the main seaport area, but also has a lot of good things to offer). Apparently there was a major diving event attracting a lot of people from presumably around the world watching all the first-class/top-of-the-line divers face off to determine who is the best diver out of all in this diving competiton.

According to the Red Bull Website, this diving competition is the first of the many events Red Bull is doing this around the world. When I went onto the website https://www.redbull.com/us-en/event-series/redbull-cliffdiving, it says there are other diving competitions taking place all over the world (similar to the Formula 1 racing which has races held in Austin and now Miami) such as Paris (the Summer olympics are taking place over there), and Auckland, New Zealand (not back in New England lol)

Nevertheless, the one I went to was the only one taking place in America. I got there just before the Men's Finals and the Women's Finals began (watching all the others I felt was quite boring). When I got to the sporting event taking place on top of a ICA building, I was quite surprised there was a lot of people attending the event, with the world of mouth from the people who were carrying those red bull drinks in their red bull-designed backpacks, which I met people in downtown Boston the day prior to the event.

When I was coming into work one day, a group of people representing Red Bull gave out free drinks to people (I got a free drink from those people one time, from a long time back in April as far as I know). They promoted a diving event red bull is sponsoring that happened the following day. I said, there is no way a diving competition event is happening with a cold, rainy , and windy weather happening. But the red bull promoters told me "Hey, don't worry. We can figure something out."

Alright, back to the main event. Actually, I didn't find this really boring. What really made this really interesting was that it took place outside, although I wish they could've postponed to a better date due to the unusually cold weather taking place on that day, along with the gusty winds.

The men's final took place first among a wide spectacle of crowds with divers coming from America, Canada, and Europe. This was my first time watching people diving, since when I usually was watching those kind of events, I find it quite boring since divers were just showing off to see who is the best diver.

But back to the event, when the divers were starting to prepare to make their dive into the icy-cold water, I can feel the suspense being built around the ICA building. Once the diver make his/her dive into the water I can see some of those divers make some unique moves that can make or break the score. In my opinion, when I see those divers dive into the ICA section of the Boston Harbor, they would wither do some unique moves like some kind of a backflip or some kind of somersault and some people would be amazed.

For some divers from America or well-known divers such as some well-known guy from some foreign country (I couldn't remember what country flag this was from) or a well known Olympian (I think) Molly Chaplin, there was an absolute fanfare coming from the crowds. I looked up her name on Google, looked up and found out she is training at an Olympic facility and has a well-known Instagram account in which she wonder if her fans wondered if she should compete in this competition in which I am proud to say she may well be on her way to the Olympics.

The reward ceremony followed each men's and women's final, and I gotta say to be honest, it was nothing special. They were just given flowers and no red bull (as far as I know). All in all, this was an interesting event since the diving event took place outdoors rather than indoors, maybe for the 2024 Paris Olympics maybe there could be an outdoor diving event (if not, maybe in 2028, from myself and red bull). I think a medal ceremony or something more interesting for the diving competition winners like having a red bull can (big or small) to drink similar to drinking a Champaign/milkshake at the end of a well-known car race. I would definitely come back next to say the least since this was an interesting competition.
